Flowering Cherry 'Yoshino' 10 Gallon

Flowering Cherry 'Yoshino' 10 Gallon

Prunus x yedoensis 'Yoshino'

'Yoshino' is an elegant weeping cherry covered with fragrant, white, single flowers in early spring that is followed by a few edible, blackish fruit. A handsome, umbrella-like habit and serpentine form adds an informal grace to its appearance. Wonderful as a focal point, specimen, for bonsai, or large containers. Plant propagation is prohibited. Plant in well-drained, amended soil. Water well after planting; maintain 1" of water once a week the first year. Prune in late winter to control size and form or after flowering. Remove dead or damaged stems at any time. Feed at least twice during the growing season with a slow release fertilizer in early spring and again mid-summer. Follow label instructions. Mulch 2" to suppress weeds, retain moisture and protect against extremes of soil temperature. A superior plant for mass, specimen, or hedge planting.
