A simple and easy succulent houseplant featuring felshy, oval-shaped leaves, Jade is popular for offices, homes, and they're believed to be a symbol of good luck. If growing conditions are just right, the plant will bloom in late winter with white flowers that have a mild fragrance. While overwatering should be avoided to prevent root rot, Jade prefers not to dry out completely between waterings. Keep the plant hydrated evenly by watering whenever the top of the soil is dry to the touch. If leaves begin to develop spots or drop, it's an indicator of too little water. Grow in a well-drained cactus or succulent potting mix and place in full direct sun or bright light to keep the plant from becoming stunted or leggy. Fertilize every 6 months, as directed on selected fertilizer packaging.
