Flowering Vinca Cora® XDR Magenta Halo 4IN

Flowering Vinca Cora® XDR Magenta Halo 4IN

Catharanthus roseus

Vincas are tough, compact, flowering annuals that make a great substitute for Impatiens, especially for gardeners who love the look of Impatiens but need a plant that can handle Full Sun. Flowers are typically 1.5" wide with five overlapping petals around a white or rose colored central eye. Colors vary in the rose spectrum with white, mauve, purple, and reds. Cora® XDR Magenta Halo offers exceptional disease resistance, improved branching, uniformity, and floriferousness. It produces violet-magenta flowers with a large white center spring through summer. Excellent for heat, drought, and deer resistance. Flowering Vincas should be at the top of the list of any gardener looking to plant up annual garden beds and containers positioned in hot, sunny areas. Grow in well-drained, amended soil, and feed with a slow-release fertilizer per label instructions. Trim if they become leggy or stretched to maintain better blooming and a tidy habit. Mulch 2" to suppress weeds, retain moisture, and protect against extremes of soil temperature. Plant after the soil heats up in June.
