A highly fragrant, early flowering annual that produces vigorous, long blooming mounds of vibrant, plum to reddish violet flowers that resemble miniature snapdragons with yellow centers. This graceful, mounding annual makes a good filler or low border, edging annual in sunny to part shade containers or landscapes. Combine with Pansies, Osteospermum, Calibrachoa, Lobelia, and Coleus. Grow in cool sunny to part shade areas, well-drained, evenly moist amended soil or containers. Feed with a slow-release fertilizer during the growing season per label instructions. No deadheading necessary, but may need to trim back in the heat of the summer as its flowers stall when evening temperatures rise above 75 degrees. Mulch 2" to suppress weeds, retain moisture, and protect against extremes of soil temperature.
