Deadnettle 'Pink Pewter' Market Basket

Lamium maculatum

'Pink Pewter' offers silvery-white leaves with green edges that form a lush, mounded to spreading groundcover. During late spring into summer, the foliage is topped with pastel pink, hooded flowers. This plant is adaptable, brightens shady areas, and tolerates dry shade conditions well, once established. In containers, it serves well as a lovely trailing "spiller". Combines well with Coral Bells, Astilbe, and Hosta. Plant in well-drained, average soil amended with organic matter. Water well after planting; maintain 1 inch of water, once a week the first year. Use slow-release fertilizer in spring or at planting, and again in summer. Mulch 1-2 inches to suppress weeds and retain soil moisture. Divide in spring or fall when necessary.
