'Orchid Frost' offers silvery-white leaves with green edges that form a lush, mounded to spreading groundcover. During late spring into summer, the foliage is topped with orchid pink-violet, hooded flowers. This plant is adaptable, brightens shady areas, and tolerates dry shade conditions well, once established. In containers, it serves well as a lovely trailing "spiller". Combines well with Coral Bells, Astilbe, and Hosta. Plant in well-drained, average soil amended with organic matter. Water well after planting; maintain 1 inch of water, once a week the first year. Use slow-release fertilizer in spring or at planting, and again in summer. Mulch 1-2 inches to suppress weeds and retain soil moisture. Divide in spring or fall when necessary.
