Russian Sage 'Longin' 1 Gallon

Russian Sage 'Longin' 1 Gallon

Perovskia atriplicifolia
One of the most reliable perennials in the garden, this award-winning plant offers silvery-white stems and grey-green, dissected foliage that deer find to be extremely pungent. Midsummer, electric blue to lavender flower spikes develop and continue to show color well into late fall. It acts as a pollinator magnet in late summer. Though delicate looking, this plant is tough as nails in that it's resistant to drought, heat, pest, and poor soils. Prefers dry to medium, well-drained soils. 'Longin' is a compact cultivar that is more upright with less foliage dissection. This variety is similar to 'Little Spire' but has a more erect habit and slightly larger leaves. Named for Swiss nurseryman Longin Ziegler.
