This rhizomatous bearded iris features sword-shaped, grey-green leaves with yellow vertical stripes, and pale lavender-blue flowers with yellow beards in late spring to early summer that rise to 40" tall. Plant in moist, humus, well-drained soil. This species of Iris tolerates shade better than other species and also dry conditions, once established. Can be divided in late summer, if desired, to generate new plantings for subsequent growing seasons.
