This Proven Winners® Bleeding Heart hybrid combines the tougher sun and heat tolerance of the fern-leaf types with vibrant, longer lasting, two-tone rose pink to pastel pink heart shaped flowers that are thinner than a classic bleeding heart. The attractive fern-leaf foliage is low and mounding, lacy in texture, and a showy blue-green hue. The ombre pink flowers develop on 16" tall stems in clusters, blooming May-July and beyond. Plant in moist, nutrient rich soil amended with organic matter like planting mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1" of water, once a week the first year. Use a slow release fertilizer in spring or at planting; reapply in summer. Mulch 1-2" to suppress weeds and retain soil moisture. Divide in spring or fall. Combine with Heuchera and Brunnera.
