Bellflowers come in many heights from tall to groundcover. Their cup/bell-like flowers look gorgeous at the edges of flower beds, in the middle garden border, or in patio containers. Bellflowers are long summer bloomers that repeat bloom, if cut back and fertilized. 'Dickson's Gold' is a low-growing, clumping variety noted for its unique foliage that forms a dense mound of bright, golden yellow, heart-shaped, toothed leaves. It blooms with loose clusters of starry, lavender-blue flowers spring to early summer. Plant in well-drained, nutrient-rich soil amended with organic matter like Petitti Planting Mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1" of water, once a week, for the first year. Mulch 1-2" to suppress weeds and retain soil moisture.
