Foxglove 'Candy Mountain' 1 Gallon

Digitalis purpurea This a unique, biennial Foxglove that produces tall, showy spikes of upward facing, strawberry and cream colored buds and mature to vivid rose-pink bells with classic maroon spots inside. Allow seeds to self-sow their second year or collect and sow early fall. Staking is recommended. Plant in moist, nutrient rich soil amended with organic matter like compost and planting mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1" of water, once a week the first year. Use slow release fertilizer in spring or at planting; reapply midsummer. Mulch 1-2" to suppress weeds and retain soil moisture. Combine with other cutting favorites including Peonies, Lilies, Baptisia, and coneflower.
