Foxglove 'Camelot Mix' 2 Gallon

Digitalis purpurea This splendid Foxglove produces tall, showy spikes in a mixture of colors beginning with cream colored buds maturing to rose, lavender, white and cream bells with classic maroon spots inside. With the Camelot series, you'll enjoy early and heavy blooming occurring in both the first and second year, then sets seed and dies. Deadhead first year flowers to encourage deep roots and second year flowering. Allow seeds to self-sow their second year or collect and sow early fall. Staking is recommended. Plant in moist, nutrient rich soil amended with organic matter like compost or planting mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1" of water, once a week the first year. Use slow release fertilizer in spring or at planting; reapply midsummer. Mulch 1-2" to suppress weeds and retain soil moisture. Combine with other cutting favorites including Peonies, Lilies, Baptisia, and coneflower.
