This is the beautiful, traditional Easter holiday plant that produces long, thick stems supporting large, pristine white, trumpet lilies, and which exudes a strong fragrance. Our growing team forces the bulbs into bud and bloom so that they may be used as a seasonal houseplant to enhance early spring and Easter celebrations. This size includes two bulb stems with multiple flowers on each. For extended blooming, keep the plant in a cool spot, provide bright indirect light, and remove the yellow pollen sacs. Easter lilies can also be treated as perennials, but need to be planted in a sunny, protected environment with extremely well-drained soil. They cannot be planted outside until after the danger of frost. After blooming, take care of the foliage by keeping it green and healthy until the fall. At that time, dig and gently lift the bulbs, remove excess soil, and let them dry out for several days. Store in a cool (50-60° F), dry place over winter. Re-plant in fresh potting soil early spring and start watering and lighting and feeding to force new growth. Use Osmocote to fertilize in containers and beds during the growing season.
