Tradescantia fulminensis Once referred to as Wandering Jew, this easy to grow trailing, tropical foliage plant is a member of the Spiderwort family. Although there are several hardy, perennial spiderwort species, these houseplant varieties are best grown indoors year round, or planted outside during the summer months with annuals. Let soil dry between waterings. Supply extra humidity by spray misting or setting on a shallow tray of moistened pebbles. Use Osmocote for houseplants in the spring lasting all growing season, or use a half strength, water soluble multi-purpose plant food once every month or two, April through September. Grow with other medium indirect light houseplants such as Philodendron, Lucky Bamboo, English Ivy, Spider and Prayer Plant.
