English Ivy is a classic, vining indoor plant that produces heart-shaped, dark green leaves. This plant prefers medium indirect light but will also tolerate bright light. It is not a low-light plant. Like many houseplants, it prefers to dry out a bit between waterings, so water only when the top inch of soil is dry and avoid the tendency to overwater. Moist air can be helpful for this plant, so providing a humidity tray is a great option. Grow in well-drained, evenly moist to slightly dry soil in containers. Feed with a slow release fertilizer, Osmocote? or Plant-tone?. Follow label instructions. Trim as needed to encourage a tidy habit. Annual/houseplant types require wintering over indoors after one or two fall frosts.
