Davallia solida var. fejeensis Ferns are a classic shade plant family with numerous tropical/houseplant varieties. All are excellent as air purifying container plants, beautiful growing in hanging baskets, or displayed in terrariums, a humid bathroom or kitchen. Rabbit's Foot fern features lacey, tropical, silver to deep green, multi-pinnate, triangular fronds. Its leathery foliage allows it to tolerate brighter and drier conditions along with its fuzzy, tan colored, creeping rhizomes that will spill over the edges of its pot. This is a tropical, epiphytic fern that grows best in well-drained, barky, orchid soil or potting mix. Grow in bright to medium, indirect lighting from an eastern or northern exposure window, or under fluorescent lighting. Prefers cool to average household temperatures, 60-70 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray mist regularly and keep soil evenly moist to slightly dry. Supply extra humidity by setting on a shallow tray of moistened pebbles. Feed with indoor plant fertilizer April-September per package instructions. Grow indoors over winter. ASPCA listed non-toxic for cats and dogs.
