Thicket Serviceberry 3 Gallon
Amelanchier x spicata
Thicket Serviceberry is a smaller shrub form of serviceberry, a cross between A. humilis which is native to Ohio, and A. alnifolia, which is native to the middle US but not Ohio. Like other serviceberries, it produces white flowers in spring follwed by red fruits in June, with red to orange to yellow fall color. Does best in well-drained soils.
