Staghorn Sumac is a native Ohio plant found in woodland edges and well-drained soils. It has an open habit, forming a thicket from root suckers, but can be grown as a tree. Plant is either male of female - female plants make showy fruiting clusters late summer. Fall foliage turns yellow to red.
