Cotinus coggygria
This is a delightfully petite version of the classic purple smokebush with showy burgundy-purple foliage that turns red in the fall. It produces the same feathery plumes of silvery, soft pink, summer flowers that look like puffs of smoke. This beautiful dwarf specimen can be used in a colorful shrub or mixed perennial border. Plant with golden barberry and blue junipers for a colorful, three to four seasons trio.
