Mugo pine is a bushy shrub that can grow very large in time. Grows best in well-drained soil, but will tolerate clay if the soil is not too wet. 'Slowmound' is a very slow growing version that rarely needs pruned. This plant is grafted on top of a tall trunk, and will add to the height by the size given below over 10+ years.
