Japanese lilac tree is a small specimen tree with a rounded crown covered in creamy white, fragrant, panicles (12" long) in late May to early June. Blooms later than most other species of lilac, extending the flowering season. Foliage is dark green and the bark is an attractive reddish-brown color.
