Turtlehead 'Tiny Tortuga' 2 Gallon
Chelone lyonii
A cultivated variety of the native wildflower Turtlehead, this selection adapts well to garden conditions to form an upright, bushy mound of thick, dark-green foliage. Late summer to mid-fall, the plant produces large, dark pink, hooded flowers on upright stems. This variety does best in a moist or wet site, and so works well waterside, but it will also adapt to average border conditions. Easily divided in the spring, as desired.
