Lily of the Valley Quart

Convallaria majalis

One of the best perennial groundcovers for the shade, Lily of the Valley is especially wonderful due to their intense perfume exuding from their dainty white bells in spring. Once it is established in the garden, it will last indefinitely. Perfect under dense shade trees or growing among spring blooming bulbs, coral bells, and Brunnera. Plant in moist, nutrient-rich soil amended with organic matter like Petitti Planting Mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1" of water, once a week, for the first year. Mulch 1-2" to suppress weeds and retain soil moisture. Divide in spring or fall when necessary.
