Leopard's Bane 'Little Leo' 1 Gallon

Doronicum spp. An early spring, cool season, perennial daisy that produces 2" wide, single to semi-double flowers with showy golden yellow centers and petals. This compact variety develops deep green, dense, heart shaped, basal foliage. Best used in woodland borders, shady containers, and butterfly gardens. Goes dormant in the heat of the summer. Plant in evenly moist, nutrient rich soil amended with organic matter like compost and planting mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1" of water, once a week the first year. Use slow release fertilizer in spring or at planting; reapply midsummer. Mulch 1-2" to suppress weeds and retain soil moisture. Good shade tolerance, deer and rabbit resistance. Plant with Bleeding Hearts, Forget-Me-Nots, and Heuchera.
