Joe Pye Weed 'Little Joe' 2 Gallon

Eupatorium dubium or Eutrochium dubium

This is a compact variety of the classic Joe Pye weed in between 'Baby Joe' and 'Gateway' that produces a strong, bushy green form that develops, large, pink to mauve-purple clustered flower heads in July to September. Joy Pye is native to North America, excellent for raingardens and pollinators. Combine with milkweed, Lobelia, and Asters. Plant in well-drained, but moist, nutrient rich soil amended with organic matter like compost and planting mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1" of water, once a week the first year. Use slow release fertilizer in spring or at planting; reapply midsummer. Mulch 1-2" to suppress weeds and retain soil moisture.
