Also known as 'Grandiflora', this is the tree form of the "classic" panicle hydrangea with large, showy blooms creating an abundance of creamy white conical clusters in late summer. Blossoms mature to a rose-pink, then dry on the branch for fall and winter interest. Cut and arrange flowers anytime. Soil pH does not affect bloom color. An outstanding specimen plant, especially in the cutting garden. In general, panicle hydrangeas are easy maintenance, reliable bloomers, simple to prune down to basketball size late winter, and can tolerate more sun, drought and colder temperatures than any other hydrangea family.
