Mountain hydrangeas are known for their increased winter hardiness, more compact growth habits, and the capacity to re-bloom by producing buds and flowers on both old and new wood. Let's Dance® Hot Stepper® is a hardy, reliable rebloomer with wide flower heads that nearly cover the foliage. Mature blooms darken beautifully, contrasting with fresh flowers and lime-green buds. If you look closely, you'll see white-veins on the petals that add elegant detail. Perfect for filling the border or using in a cut flower garden. Plant in well-drained to moist, amended soil. Water well after planting; maintain 1" of water, once per week, for the first year. Prune down only to uppermost fresh green growth once foliage begins to crack in spring. Remove any dead or winter damaged stems at that time, as well. Feed early spring and mid-summer with a slow release fertilizer per label instructions. Mulch 2" to suppress weeds, retain moisture, and to protect against extremes of soil temperature. A Proven Winners® variety.
