This variety has abundant, long lasting, rounded flower heads that start white and progress to pink, intense raspberry red and finally wine red. Flowers start blooming in July and take on red coloration early in the season. Flower color is best in the fall when night temperatures are 10 degrees cooler than day temperatures. Plants grow upright, and then cascade later in the season. Excellent for fresh cut and dried flower arrangements. Flower color varies based on climate and growing conditions. In general, panicle hydrangeas are easy maintenance, reliable bloomers, simple to prune down to basketball size late winter, and can tolerate more sun, drought and colder temperatures than any other hydrangea family.
