Lilac Tree 'Palibin', Dwarf Korean 10 gallon

Lilac Tree 'Palibin', Dwarf Korean 10 gallon

Syringa meyeri
A delightful dwarf Korean variety with a low, spreading, bushy habit producing profuse clusters of red-violet buds opening to fragrant, pale lilac-pink blooms. Petite, round foliage is medium green and adds a soft texture to the landscape. This tree form is best planted as a focal point in shrub borders, or as a fragrant specimen near windows in the front landscape. Plant in well-drained, amended soil. Lilacs make excellent sunny border plants for cutting, fragrance, pollinator attraction and hedging. Water well after planting; maintain 1 inch of water once a week the first year. Prune after flowering is finished in spring. Fertilize in early spring and mid-summer with a slow release fertilizer. Follow label instructions. Mulch 2 inches to suppress weeds, retain moisture and protect against extremes of soil temperature. Plant with Coneflowers, Boxwood and Grasses.
