Taxus baccata

A conical evergreen with undulating branches and flattened, soft, dark green foliage (needles) that make these shrubs ideal for formal hedges and foundation plantings. They provide year-round interest, are drought and heavy shade tolerant, and rabbit resistant. Females produce red berry-like fruits that songbirds enjoy. Taxus, in general, are durable, long lived and easy to maintain. 'Repandens' is a small, spreading variety.
