A showy, medium to large plantain lily with medium green, heart-shaped foliage adorned by bright white centers and streaks of cream and light green with 55-61" tall flower scapes of lavender striped, white trumpets that bloom in midsummer. Hostas can be used in shady containers or landscapes, under established shade trees, on slopes to retain soil, and provide excellent foliage texture and color for three seasons. Combine with coral bells, bleeding hearts, and Astilbe. Plant in well-drained, moist to average soil amended with organic matter like compost or planting mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1" of water, once a week the first year. Fertilize in spring and again in summer with a slow release fertilizer. Mulch 1-2" to suppress weeds and retain soil moisture. Divide in spring or fall when necessary.
